The Fal Opt-Out Period will only be available from August 6th, 2024 to September 30th, 2024. If approved, you will be opted out for the Full Plan Year.

Wait! Before you Opt-Out, make sure you know about all the great benefits of being on the plan, like access to Virtual Healthcare Services like FREE Prescription Delivery, 24/7 Virtual Doctors, Mental Health Resources, and more!

Students who wish to opt-out of the DSU Health & Dental Benefits must login to the Dal Online to complete their opt-out request.

Once Logged in:

• Log into DalOnline.dal.ca
• Select “Web for students”  
• Select “Additional Fee/Waiver application form”.  
• Select Academic Term “Fall” for Undergraduate and Graduate students, Choose “regular” for Dentistry and Medical students.  
• “apply” to opt-out of both the Health and the Dental portion of the plan. 
• In “new application” include your alternate insurance plan information. 

If you get a note that says "no opt-outs available for term selected", please ensure you've been billed for the plan on your student account, and that you've selected the correct term.

Failure to opt-out by the deadline will result in your opt-out not being approved.
