Dalhousie Security Services

Security staff can usually respond to a crisis on campus in 12 mins. or less. If you’re concerned about crossing paths with someone on campus, Dal Security can compare schedules and help you with a safety plan. DalSAFE is a new mobile app providing quick, easy access to Security Services, Tiger Patrol, interactive maps, campus notices, parking info, and many other resources to enhance personal safety. Multifaith Centre

The Dalhousie Multifaith Centre strives to explore the fundamental issues and concerns of the world from a religious perspective in a setting that encourages open and free discussion, values the raising of questions and doubts, and appreciates divergent histories, attitudes, options, and values. A complete education addresses the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. The Centre is a non-threatening space where students, staff, and faculty can address the basic questions of meaning and purpose in their lives — no matter what their faith, philosophy, or doubt may be.

The International Centre works to support the creation of an internationally vibrant learning environment for Dalhousie University students, both international and domestic. Our broad suite of services assist students in being globally active by supporting the international student community (including their families), and offering and supporting international learning opportunities, on-campus and abroad. Dalhousie Legal Aid

Dalhousie Legal Aid Service has been in operation since 1970 when it began as a summer project out of the former Halifax Neighbourhood Centre. It was the first legal Service for poor people in Nova Scotia and is the oldest clinical law program in Canada. In fact, it is the only community law clinic in Nova Scotia. The Clinic is a unique partnership of community groups, law students, community legal workers and lawyers working together.

Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service

Nova Scotia Legal Aid has many free legal services to help adults and youth facing a range of legal issues. We may be able to help if you have problems with criminal law, family law and many areas of social justice and civil law such as CPP, employment insurance or income assistance. Although some of our services are based on financial need, we have some services available to all Nova Scotians.

Student Conduct Office

If you find yourself dealing with student-student confrontations, student-neighbour issues, student-landlord problems, or certain criminal charges, the Student Conduct Office can help come up with solutions. The office works collaboratively with students, community and campus partners, to help resolve disputes in a restorative and respectful manner.
