Before seeking services you may call Cowan Insurance Group to ask about coverage for your medical need at 1-888-509-7797 or email ISHP@cowangroup.ca. They may ask you questions about your medical need in order to help determine your eligiblity.
When you visit a doctor or participating medical office that you have found searching in the "See a Doctor" search tool, all you need to do is show them your International Health Plan wallet card as long as they indicate they are a direct billing provider.
If you go to a doctor that is out of province or not listed on the Cowan Provider Network, you may have to pay for the services you receive and submit a claim for reimbursement.

If you have paid up front for medical services (doctor visits, emergency hospital expenses, lab tests, x-rays, etc.), you will need to submit a claim for review for reimbursement (receive money back).
